THE IMPORTANCE OF RAIN WATER HARVESTING IN BANGALORE CITY – A GEOGRAPHICAL APPROACH

Abstract

Water is precious is each stage of human life, it is difficult to live without water. In everyday life we are depending on water in many situations. Bangalore is populated city to provide water for his dwellers and industries becoming headache for the Bengaluru city Corporation and BWSSB. The city consuming more than 1125 million litter of water, but BWSSB is not able to provide the required water for Bangalore city it is able to provide only 900 million litter of waters. Here The Rain Water Harvesting gets is importance, government and non-government organization giving priority to do the same. To do this research papers data have been collected form BWSSB and Water Resource Department. The major objective of this paper is to show why Rainwater Harvesting is important city like Bangalore and how to solve the water problems for the domestic usage. Some statistical methods have used to process the data collected from different sources. Many research papers have been referred to give justice for this research paper.
